Party room in cellar

Loud jukeboxes or loud conversations must be attenuated in such a party room in a cellar. The materials you require depend on what you want to achieve.

1. Optimising the interior acoustics
If you only want to attenuate the interior of the room so that the noise level is more bearable for the people who are in the room, it is best if you use foams (convoluted, pyramid or plane) which are at least 4 cm to 6 cm in thickness. The thicker the foam, the better even lower frequencies are absorbed. The foam should be correspondingly thicker if you want to play loud music in addition to conversing. In principle, you can choose any of our foams. You should choose our acoustic foam made of Basotect if you want very high-quality attenuation on the one hand and, on the other hand, if you want to use a bright, non-yellowing foam which will leave the room lighting bright and comfortable, or if you also attach importance to a high level of fire protection. Covering the entire ceiling surface is sufficient.

2. Insulating outwards in other rooms

Please read the guides here: "Insulation of Walls and Ceilings"
