For example, not all egg-box foams are the same, nor are all mattresses. Besides the density there are characteristics such as colour (and colour fastness) or, in the case of profiled mats, the floor-profile ratio, which is significantly responsible for the absorption capacity. The number of so-called air inclusions or air clots is also critical. There are always air inclusions, but depending on the quality their number is relatively low or high. The pore size is also very important, especially for acoustic foam. In small pores, sound waves can be absorbed much better and noise and reverberation can be reduced much better than would be possible with cheap products.Thus, despite the same name for a type of foam, you pay much more for one foam than you do for the other.If you buy cheap, you pay twice. This also applies to foam.
