Thanks to its properties, Combband 300, the specially impregnated, pre-compressed joint sealing tape has many areas of application in modern construction, where demands for reliable joint solutions are more important today than even just a few years ago. It is a material that is open to vapour diffusion, which considerably reduces the risk of wood rot and fungal attack in adjacent materials. When compressed, Comband 300 reliably seals against sound, driving rain, dust, draughts and heat loss. Combband 300 corresponds to stress group BG2 according to DIN 18542 and was specially developed for joints in low buildings of up to 20 m building height. In addition, Combband 300 is a flame-retardant building material according to DIN 4102-1 B1. It is strongly self-adhesive on one side, compatible with all common sealing compounds and can be applied irrespective of temperature.

NB

• Combband 300 must always be stored at the right temperature
• No cleaning with compressed air or solutions containing strong vinegar
• Combband 300 may be painted over with water-soluble paint.

Handling instructions

The bonding surface must be clean, free of oil and grease and dry. Cut off Combband 300 with an excess length of approx. 2%. Cut off the first 3cm of each roll. Remove the cover foil and press Combband 300 onto the suitable surface. Apply sealing tape approx. 2-3 mm, from the top edge of the joint. Never let the tape run around corners. The ends should always end against each other. The excess length of the Comband 300 is pressed into the corners. Allow vertical joints to run through. When extending Combband 300, the ends of the lengths must be butted together. Overlapping is not permitted.
