Our nail sealing tape is a one-sided self-adhesive tape that can be applied directly from the roll. It is characterised by permanent, high elasticity. Nail sealing tape 610 is highly adhesive - even at low temperatures. It is particularly suitable for pitched roof constructions, where it prevents moisture and driving rain from penetrating into perforations in the roof underlays and underlay sheets. For example, it is used as a sealing tape against the penetration of moisture between counter battens and roofing membrane.

Handling

The self-adhesive coating achieves its best adhesive strength at approx. + 20° C. The roof underlays and substrates to be bonded must be firm and load-bearing, clean, dry, and free of dust and grease. If the roof underlays used are rolled out on a dusty floor for cutting to length, they must be cleaned with a cloth before applying the tape. This also applies if the sheeting is unwound from a vertical spool and the lower edge comes into contact with dust on the floor. Adequate ventilation under the primary covering must be ensured and the maximum exposure to weathering of the nail sealing tapes under the counter battens or in the case of overlaps must not exceed 3 months - i.e. the roof tiles must be installed within 3 months. Care must be taken to ensure an exact fit by means of counter-battening.
