Aquarium

Often, the pump to be found in the base unit of an aquarium is disruptive. You solve the noise problem easily as follows.

1st step: You line the interior walls of the unit

Here, you use at least our 4 cm thick rebond foams.  If space is available, you can also use 6 cm, 8 cm or 10 cm plates because the thicker, the better the insulation. Adhere the sheets with our mounting adhesive or Winfix foam adhesive simply to the interior walls.

To increase the insulation, adhere our heavy foil (self-adhesive) ideally as a first layer and then our rebond foam. The heavy foil absorbs the sound of the unit and increases the noise insulation significantly.

2nd step:  Decouple the pump from the floor

The pump transfers the vibrations directly via the floor  - consequence: The unit vibrates and emits the noise outwards. Here, we use our foam rubber of 1 to 2 cm in thickness, lay this on the floor and place the pump on it. The vibrations are thus minimised.

If you follow the above two steps, you will reduce the noise emission greatly to completely.
